Current Program

For the first year, FNBS shall cover the Kaski and Gorkha Districts lying in Gandaki Zone,Western Development Region. Initially, for this first year, support will be provided to visually impaired students from 2 government schools from Gandaki Zone. Amarsingh Model Higher Secondary School, Kaski has 49 visually impaired students studying currently and Amar Jyoti Higher Secondary School, Gorkha has 8 students.

The target region for the first year are the districts- Kaski and Gorkha as shown in the map of Nepal and Gandaki zone below:

Gandaki zone has six districts. Of these two districts will be taken for the first years. Other districts will be covered in the coming years. The current program of FNBS is to provide financial supports to the students so that they can go to schools irrespective of their poor economic status or lack of free quota available in the schools. The financial support intends to cover the boarder fee, recreation fee and travel allowance.
